Aberrant Dreams Issue #9 is Coming Soon–I promise!

Well, after a bit of trouble selecting the final line up for issue #9, we have completed it, and it is under the final round of proofread. This means that Aberrant Dreams #9 will be coming very soon, and I am sure it will be worth the wait! Look for it by the end of the week. At that time, we will also be closing the contest for entries and our editorial staff will begin selecting the winning stories to go to the selected writers. I can’t wait to see what stories come out of it.

Lonny and I have been rebuilding the website from the ground up, and the finished product is much more complete, original, and ultimately, a great expression of who he and I really are. It will combine the aspects of HD-IMAGE, Aberrant Dreams, and Slip of the Pen into a more complete, entertaining package. It is currently stacking up to launch by the first of the year. I hope you like it.

The eighth issue of Aberrant Dreams has been uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Unfortunately, this has occurred before the printed copies of Issue #7 have been received. Oh well, we’ll soldier forth nonetheless, and the printed copies for issue #7 will be placed in the mail to our subscribers as soon as they arrive. We apologize for the inconvienience.

The Woes of Printing

Well, the new issue is nearing completion, but we still have not received our printed copies of the previous issue. This baffles the mind and frustrates us to no end. We originally placed our order for a proof copy on April 28th, and re-ordered mid-June once the proof copy had arrived. Now, here it is July 23rd, and we have had a devil of a time even getting the printer to return our email inquiries. Grrrrrrrr!! The bounds of one’s patients are far from infinite. The main quandry is that the quality for the magazines are really good–the best we’ve seen so far. Unfortunately, this fact is not enough for us to use these same printers again. We’ll keep you posted as to the status.

Aberrant Dreams #7 Complete

Sorry for the delay in this release, but Lonny and I have been in some serious discussions about a major site overhaul and reorganization. I cannot get into the specifics of these revisions just yet, but we have been evaluating what is and is not working. I can say that we do not ever want to charge the readers for content on this site. Oh, and there will be more interactivity added using flash animation. The new issue is now released, and I hope you enjoy it greatly.

Also, please check back as the details for our next Writer’s Challenge have not been finalized. I think you will like it!

It’s coming soon, I promise!!

Hey, I know the new issue of Aberrant Dreams is running a bit late, but it is coming soon. The problem is that most of our editors missed the deadline for this issue dealing with all of the round-out projects for January’s issue, and coming up with the the details of the next Writer’s Challenge. I think you guys and gals will like the next challenge immensely. Expect the new issue up in about a week (give or take) with the printed version available about four weeks later (grumble, grumble).
